Goodbye peeps

That’s all for tonight, folks. I hope you enjoyed the coverage as much as the football.

Brazil next play Switzerland on Monday which could be a decider for the winner of Group G after Switzerland’s 1-0 win over Cameroon earlier today. Serbia will play Cameroon in a game which will be crucial for either side to progress to the knockout stages.

Have a good Friday, people.

Neymar-watch

Brazil will be keeping a close eye on Neymar in the coming days. Seemed to be struggling when he came off and was hobbling with his right boot off at the full time whistle.

Full time | Brazil 2-0 Serbia

It was hard work for Brazil tonight. Serbia pushed them in the first half, but eventually their quality shone through after the break. They will hope to take that momentum through the rest of their group games, whereas Serbia will hope to build on their strong first half performance. A good evening of football even if it was a slow burn.

95m | Pace has slowed down

As you’d expect, the game has slowed right down. Danilo’s been struggling but Brazil have used all their subs so he will have to stay on.

Conga time!

There was a little conga celebration after the first one, then jumping up and down in a tight circle after Richarlison scored the stunning second. What a brilliant goal it was too; whipped in with the outside of a boot, a touch and then that rotation to score with such power. Richarlison’s left hand is almost touching the ground as he strikes it and his right leg comes across his body to be almost parallel with the floor.

82m | Samba Samba

It’s samba stuff now from Brazil. They’re in cruise control and Jesus lays the ball nicely into Casemiro’s path outside the box. He guides it smack onto the crossbar before Rodrygo has a shot saved

More Brazil subs

Richarlison is replaced by Gabriel Jesus. His two goals tie him with Bukayo Saka for the most goals at the World Cup so far.

Neymar is also replaced by Antony. He was on the floor before the change but was able to walk off. Shouldn’t be anything too serious.

Brazil subs

Fred now replaces Lucas Paquet for Brazil. The change was going to happen before the goal.

Rodrydo also comes on to replace Vincius Junior. Brazil’s most constant threat of the night.

74m | Brazil 2-0 Serbia – Richarlison!

Great, great, great finish from Richarlison. Vinicius flicks the ball into the penalty area, he controls it in the air and volleys it home on the turn.

72m | Serbia respond

Almost two big chances for Serbia as a corner is flicked to the back post but they can’t make proper contact. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic then heads back across the goal but Brazil clear. Dusan Vlahovic is now on which will help their cause.

Anxious atmosphere

It was a tense first hour for both sets of fans this evening… That may continue with just one goal in it and just 20 minutes to play.

65m | Lukic booked

The pace is starting to pick up now as Lukic is booked for Serbia. Appeared to be for dissent after Tadic was fouled by Casemiro.

That ends up being Lukic’s last action as he is replaced by Grujic.

The ball dribbles out to Alex Sandro about 30-35 yards out from the goal and he takes it. A fierce shot, it cannons off the post but nobody can reach the rebound.

Brazil’s cavalry look on

Brazil’s attack is starting to build momentum, but could one of their substitutes provide a bit more cutting edge?

Vinicius has just set up Neymar again but his shot goes wide.
